It was all… Pantone Yellow

Pantone and Coldplay-themed graphics unveiled at Wembley Park.

As Coldplay kicks off their record-breaking 10-night residency at Wembley Stadium starting Friday, August 22, this is the perfect moment to spotlight how colour and music intertwine.

A radiant tribute to one of Coldplay’s most iconic songs has landed in the heart of London’s Wembley Park. To honour the 25th anniversary of “Yellow”, Wembley Park and Pantone have transformed the Spanish Steps into a giant Pantone colour chip, aptly named Yellow 25. This sunlit installation features 58 steps, each rendered in a unique shade of yellow, progressing from soft pale hues to dazzling golds.

Curated by Claudio Giambrone and crafted with the Pantone Colour Matching System, Yellow 25 is designed to evoke optimism, warmth, and creative energy.

In colour psychology, yellow is one of the most powerful emotional triggers. Associated with joy, warmth, and optimism, it stimulates feelings of hope and energy. Just as sunlight boosts serotonin and lifts the spirit, yellow has long been used in design to encourage happiness, clarity, and confidence.

At The Colour Suite, we know colours don’t just decorate, they communicate. We help brands find their own “yellow moments” the colours that transform stories into unforgettable experiences.

As Wembley glows golden with Yellow 25 and Coldplay fill the night with light and sound, it’s a reminder that colour is never just visual, it’s visceral. It lifts us, moves us, and connects us.
